The drama theater in Mariupol, on which the Russian occupation troops dropped a bomb on March 16 and under the rubble of which hundreds of people died, is planned to open on September 10, said the so-called acting general director of the theater, collaborator Ilya Solonin.

“The task is to open by September 10,” he said at a press conference organized by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to the collaborator, even the repertoire was thought out. In particular, in the ruined city they want to put on a “theatrical production, two or three dance and pop-concert numbers”.

To do this, the occupation authorities are considering the option of uniting the troupes of the Mariupol Drama Theater and the City Philharmonic.
