Studying in Ukrainian schools stopped with the beginning of Russian aggression and subsequently resumed remotely. The Ministry of Education and Science published Methodological recommendations on certain issues of the completion of the 2021/2022 academic year, according to which secondary education institutions can independently determine its end.

Summer vacation schedule.

Before the war with Russia, the MES recommended that schools spend their summer holidays from June 1 to August 31.

But in 2022, the summer holidays began at different times, depending on the situation in each area.. In most cases, the decision on the start date of the holidays is general for the region:.

in the temporarily occupied Kherson region, the educational process in schools was completed on April 30;

in the Zaporozhye region, in the Berdyansk, Melitopol, Pohovsky and Vasilyevsky districts, the academic year ended on May 2 due to the occupation;

in the Cherkasy region, summer holidays began on May 28, since the academic year ended on May 27, the chairman of the Cherkasy OVA, Igor Taburets, said during the broadcast on the YouTube channel Suspilne Cherkasy;

in the Kyiv region decided to follow the recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science and send schoolchildren on vacation from June 1;

in the Kharkiv region - the academic year was supposed to end on June 3, said Kharkiv mayor Igor Terekhov;

in Chernihiv, Vinnitsa regions, school holidays began on June 4;

in the Lviv region, half of the schools completed their studies at the end of May, others are planning in mid-June, writes NP.

Summer holidays will last until August 31.

Recall that this year for graduates it is planned to hold three sessions of the National Multi-subject Testing, which was introduced instead of UPE. Three subjects are submitted for testing: mathematics, Ukrainian language and history of Ukraine.

In 2022, graduates who are forced to stay abroad will be able to take multi-subject testing in European countries.
