Ukraine has expanded the list of persons entitled to cross the state border. Now many more men with certain professions can legally travel outside Ukraine. The Cabinet of Ministers amended the resolution, according to which some persons liable for military service can leave Ukraine during the war.
Who can now travel abroad.
According to a government decree dated May 20, the following categories of persons can temporarily travel to other countries during martial law:.
truck drivers with international licenses for the transport of passengers and goods;
drivers carrying humanitarian aid, medical cargo or cargo for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
railway workers who ensure its functioning and uninterrupted operation;
coaches, athletes, sports judges and other specialized professionals participating in international competitions, prepare for them or ensure their holding.
Previously, the list of persons who can travel outside of Ukraine included:.
citizens who have a certificate of deferment from conscription and a notification of enrollment in a special account;
persons recognized in accordance with the established procedure as persons with disabilities or, in accordance with the conclusion of the military medical commission, temporarily unfit for military service for health reasons for up to 6 months (with subsequent passing of the military medical commission);
parents with many children who are dependent on three or more minor children;
persons independently raising a child (children) under the age of 18 (upon presentation of a birth certificate of the child, a document confirming that the person is independently raising the child/children);
guardians, caregivers, foster parents, parent-caregivers raising a child with a disability under the age of 18 or raising a child with severe perinatal lesions of the nervous system, severe congenital malformations, rare orphan diseases, oncological, oncohematological diseases, severe mental disorders, diabetes;
persons who support an adult child with a disability of group I or II;
adoptive parents, guardians, custodians, foster parents, foster parents who support orphans or children deprived of parental care under the age of 18;
citizens engaged in constant care for a sick wife (husband), child, as well as their parents or wife (spouse), who, according to the conclusion of a medical and social expert commission or a medical advisory commission of a healthcare institution, need constant care;
persons who have a wife (spouse) from persons with disabilities and / or one of their parents or parents of a wife (spouse) from persons with disabilities of group I or II;
guardians of a person with a disability who has been declared incompetent by a court; persons engaged in constant care for a person with a disability of group I; persons engaged in constant care for a person with a disability of group II or for a person, according to the conclusion of a medical and social expert commission or a medical advisory commission of a healthcare institution, requires constant care, in the absence of other persons who can provide such care;
persons who have left for other countries for permanent residence (have a permanent residence permit in another country);
applicants for professional higher and higher education, trainee assistants, graduate students and doctoral students studying abroad on a full-time or dual form of education;
persons whose close relatives died or went missing during the antiterrorist operation.

How long can you travel abroad.
Added categories of citizens have the right to leave Ukraine for a while.
In particular, drivers must stay abroad for no more than 30 days.. For drivers of companies with transport licenses, the period of stay outside Ukraine is up to 45 days, but this is possible only on a vehicle with a gross weight of 3,500 kilograms or more.
Members of the national teams may stay abroad continuously for a maximum of 30 days.
The longest period of stay abroad is provided for railway workers - no more than 180 days.
