The State Bureau of Investigation reported suspicions to two appraisers of a private company who forged documents and underestimated the market value of the shares of the First Kyiv Machine-Building Plant, better known as the Bolshevik plant, in the amount of more than 1 billion hryvnias.
During the investigation of criminal proceedings on possible abuse by officials of the State Property Fund of Ukraine during the privatization of Bolshevik on October 27, 2021, investigators found that its illegal alienation from state property occurred at a low cost and on the basis of forged documents. In particular, based on the property valuation report used to determine the value of the plant's shares.
“This document does not meet the requirements of the law, which is confirmed by forensic examinations. Such actions caused significant economic damage to the state,” the SBI noted..
The actions of the suspects are qualified according to. 3 st. 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is, the preparation by the appraiser of a deliberately false official document, by prior agreement by a group of persons. The article provides for imprisonment up to 5 years.
