“It is also necessary to take into account the impact of war on the state of mental health, as a result of which certain diseases can manifest themselves 10 to 15 years earlier than the average in the population.. With this in mind, we recommend that everyone who is in safe regions take care of their health as soon as possible and make a preventive visit to the doctor, - said Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko.

Among the examinations that can help detect cancer at an early stage, the Ministry of Health recommends undergoing: mammography - an examination of the mammary glands; hysteroscopy - examination of the uterus; esophagogastroduodenoscopy (gastroscopy) - examination of the esophagus and stomach; colonoscopy - examination of the large intestine; bronchoscopy - examination of the trachea and bronchi.

At the same time, patients are guaranteed:.

consultation with a doctor, examination, analysis and description of the results, local or general anesthesia during hysteroscopy, bronchoscopy, esophagogastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy and cystoscopy.

The Ministry of Health added that age restrictions have been set for diagnostic tests: mammography and colonoscopy are prescribed after 40 years, and hysteroscopy, gastroscopy, cystoscopy, bronchoscopy - after 50 years..

For younger patients, the doctor may issue a referral for such studies if a neoplasm is suspected.. In this case, the studies will be paid for by the National Health Service of Ukraine.
