Russian naval forces off the coast of the occupied Ukrainian Crimea detained 12 fishermen who sailed to the Black Sea on two boats for a catch from Istanbul.

CNN Turk denied Russia's claims that the vessels were not registered - one registered in the port of Gemlik and the other in Sarier.

It is noted that two fishing boats went to the Black Sea for their catch, setting off on May 15. There were 12 fishermen on the boats. Fishermen were off the coast of Russian-occupied Crimea. On May 18, boats approached the peninsula. After that, a Russian warship intervened, and the fishermen were detained.

Meanwhile, the fishermen called relatives via satellite phone and informed them of the situation..

Turkish fishing boats were delivered to the vicinity of Sevastopol, accompanied by warships. Russian authorities confiscated fish and boats, and fishermen fined $30,000.
