In an interview with the ZhVL program, Newton shared that she thought about how, at one time, she, a girl from the west of Ukraine, was broken and forced to speak Russian. Then the artist recorded her first album, completely in Russian:.

She shared that then, as a 15-year-old, she believed the people who were involved in her promotion and did not think about propaganda:.
