Zaporizhzhya thermal power plant ran out of coal, which cannot be delivered as a result of the temporary occupation of Energodar by the Russians and hostilities in the south of Ukraine - the operation of the thermal power plant was stopped.

This was announced by the mayor of Energodar Dmitry Orlov.

He stressed that the stoppage of the work of ZaTPP will not affect the population of the city in the context of the provision of public services.. Heat, power and water supply in Energodar transferred to ZNPP. At the same time, it is possible to reduce the temperature of hot water by several degrees.

" And there is no way to organize its regular deliveries. This is due to the occupation of our city, and logistical difficulties due to constant hostilities in southern Ukraine, destroyed infrastructure, bridges and sections of the railway,"

The staff of the thermal plant was temporarily transferred to forced downtime.
