In the city of Irpin, Kyiv region, on Tuesday, April 26, Lithuanian virtuoso pianist Darius Mazhyntas staged an impromptu concert. This is reported by the publication NV.
It is noted that the musician arrived in Ukraine on April 25, spent the night in Irpen and in the morning played Chopin's nocturnes in the open air against the backdrop of the ruins of the Central House of Culture.
As indicated, the black piano for the performance was brought from Kyiv and placed on the surviving piece of the square in front of the building, which was an architectural monument before the invaders dropped a bomb on it in early April before retreating.
" Music is the energy that helps people... That's why I don't want to play in the halls now. I want to play in places where it's not expected... Like today. Therefore symbolically we are here. Our heart is with Ukraine… I love Ukraine. She fights not only for her country. She fights for the whole world,"
On April 27, the pianist will perform at the main military hospital in Kyiv.
Earlier, a number of Ukrainian stars released a new composition called Ukraine Peremozhe.
