Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk says the United Nations must secure a humanitarian corridor from Russian-blockaded Mariupol.

The minister said that on Easter, April 24, it was not possible to open a humanitarian corridor from Mariupol: Russia did not confirm the guarantee of the ceasefire regime.

According to her, this issue should be raised by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres during his visit to Russia..

"

There are now 1,000 women and children at Azovstal, plus 500, maybe even more, wounded, almost 50 people need immediate qualified assistance.

This is what Mr. Guterres should be talking about in Moscow if he is going to talk about peace.. All other agreements will have no weight, because the most important thing that the UN can do and others cannot do is to open a humanitarian corridor,"
