The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Croatia asked 24 employees of the Russian Embassy, \u200b\u200b18 of whom are diplomats, to leave the country due to Russia's brutal aggression against Ukraine, according to the website of the Croatian Foreign Ministry.
The Russian Ambassador was handed a note in which, in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, Russia is informed of Croatia's decision to reduce the number of diplomatic and administrative staff of the Russian Embassy in Zagreb to the level of the Croatian Embassy in Moscow.
Croatia once again called on Russia to immediately cease all hostilities and withdraw its troops throughout Ukraine, as well as to ensure evacuation routes and humanitarian corridors.
The Croatian Foreign Ministry stressed that the perpetrators of war crimes must be held accountable.

More than 100 Russian diplomats have been expelled from European countries since the start of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine.
