More than 4.5 thousand Ukrainians were evacuated through humanitarian corridors on April 9, said the Minister for Reintegration of the TOT Iryna Vereshchuk.

3,425 people were evacuated from Mariupol and Berdyansk on their vehicles and buses to Zaporozhye. Another 3,233 people were evacuated from the cities of the Zaporozhye region: Polog, Vasylivka, Berdyansk, Tokmak, Melitopol and Energodar.

In addition, 529 local residents were able to leave Melitopol captured by the Russian invaders - they waited for evacuation for four days, today the buses were released. Column with evacuees already in Zaporozhye.

The buses that left Berdyansk, Tokmak and Energodar to evacuate people had to be returned to Zaporizhzhya - the occupiers refused to let them through on a previously agreed route. Tomorrow we will try again to get to these cities.

578 people were evacuated from Lisichansk, Severodonetsk, Rubizhne, Kremennaya and Popasna in the Luhansk region.
