The general mobilization announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky against the backdrop of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine has been going on for more than a month. The Ukrainian Bar Association, in a recent article with basic answers to key questions about mobilization, explained where Ukrainians can be served subpoenas.

Where should the summons be served It happens that they give it at work, on the street, and this is done by representatives of rural councils, postmen, and not people from the military registration and enlistment office. And not at the place of residence. How should a person react, what is the algorithm of actions?

The legislation does not establish a place where you can or cannot serve a summons.

In fact, it can be handed over in person anywhere: on the street, at checkpoints, at the workplace, in a store. But before serving the summons, the identity of the person liable for military service is established.. An employee of the TCCSP, as well as authorized persons of local governments, heads of enterprises, institutions, organizations, including educational institutions, individual entrepreneurs, managers of apartment buildings, owners of houses can serve the agenda.. At the time of serving the summons, the person must receive it, sign for receipt and subsequently appear on the specified date at the specified place.
