25-year-old Ukrainian boxer Yury Vorona died in battles with Russian invaders.

The Boxing Federation of Ukraine announced his death on its Facebook page..

" Yury Vorona, a boxer from Chernihiv, was killed in battles with Russian occupiers,"

The death of the boxer was confirmed in the Chernihiv Boxing Federation, stating that Vorona died at the very beginning of a full-scale war with Russia. Yuri's body was found near Lukashevka only today after the retreat of Russian troops.

Yuriy Vorona was a three-time champion of the Chernihiv region, as well as a prize-winner of Ukrainian and international competitions.
