On the night of March 23 in Kyiv, there was a deterioration in air quality caused by an increase in the concentration of dust particles. In particular, an excess of the maximum permissible concentration for hydrogen sulfide was recorded, according to the Goloseevskaya RGA..

“As of today, air quality in Kyiv remains unsatisfactory. At the same time, no excesses of the maximum concentrations were detected,"

It is noted that as of 8 am on March 23, the content of pollutants was:.

on the left bank of Kyiv: suspended particles (dust) - 76 µg/m3 (maximum allowable concentration - 500), nitrogen oxide - 17.8 µg/m3 (MAC - 400), nitrogen dioxide - 42.8 µg/m3 (MAC - 200), sulfur dioxide - 24.7 µg/m3 (MPC - 500), carbon monoxide - 508 µg/m3 (MPC - 5000), ozone - 87.0 µg/m3 (MPC - 160), formaldehyde - 4 8 µg /m3 (MPC - 35), hydrogen sulfide - 3.3 µg/m3 (MPC - 8);

on the right bank of Kyiv: suspended particles (dust) - 222 µg/m3 (MPC - 500), nitrogen oxide - 3.8 µg/m3 (MPC - 400), nitrogen dioxide - 30.9 µg/m3 (MPC - 200) ), sulfur dioxide – 17.1 µg/m3 (MPC – 500), carbon monoxide – 887 µg/m3 (MPC – 5000), ozone – 87.2 µg/m3 (MPC 160).

“The deterioration in air quality is likely caused by fires and calm weather,” the RGA said..

Recommended for the next few hours:.

do not go out unnecessarily;

refrain from airing the premises, tightly close the windows;

if there is an air cleaner, then turn it on to the maximum.
