State University Odessa Polytechnic was awarded the status of national. The corresponding decree of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is posted on the website of the head of state.

The educational institution was founded in 1918. After Ukraine became independent, the Odessa Polytechnic Institute received the status of a state university, and in 2001, President Leonid Kuchma promoted it to national.

More than 6.5 thousand people study at the university.
