The Ukrainian women's wrestling team became the best at the U-23 World Championship in Serbia.
Ukrainian women Alina Grushina, Anastasia Lavrenchuk and Anastasia Alpeeva became gold medalists of the tournament. Grushina won a historic award - the first gold in the women's U-23 World Cup in the history of Ukraine.
Grushina in the final defeated a native of Crimea Kristina Mikhneva, representing Russia, in the weight category of 57 kg with a score of 5: 1. Lavrenchuk in the weight category of 65 kg in the final dealt with the Russian woman Dinara Salikhova (4: 0). Alpeeva defeated French Kendra Dacher in the final 72 kg fight - 7: 2.
The national team of Ukraine at the World Championship won three golds, as well as two silver and two bronze medals. This result allowed the Ukrainian women to win the medal standings, and Russia and the USA entered the top 3.
