The police opened criminal proceedings on the fact of injuring two young children in the Industrial district of Kharkov.

According to law enforcement officials, today at about 4:45 pm near house No. 3-A on Bolshaya Koltseva street, a DAF XS car with a semi-trailer hit a 12-year-old teenager and an unidentified boy about 13 years old.

At the scene of the incident, employees of the investigative and operational group previously established that the truck was moving from the side of Sergei Gritsevets Street in the direction of Moskovsky Avenue. Children crossed the carriageway in the direction of the vehicle along an unregulated pedestrian crossing. According to the witness, the guys ran after each other. The driver brakes, but runs into teenagers.

Information about the event is included in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations for h. 2 st. 286 (violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Currently, the issue of detention of a 33-year-old driver is being resolved in accordance with Art.. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
