Yesterday the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak held a telephone conversation with the Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs of the United States of America Victoria Nuland.

The interlocutors discussed topical issues on the agenda and the content of the upcoming visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the United States, the press service of Yermak reports..

Andriy Ermak and Victoria Nuland exchanged views on progress in implementing key reforms in Ukraine, in particular in the areas of legal proceedings, anti-corruption and corporate governance, and also discussed further bilateral cooperation in the energy sector. They noted the similarity of approaches and assessments of Ukraine and the United States regarding threats to the energy security of Ukraine and Europe, in particular regarding the consequences of the implementation of the Nord Stream 2 project.

Andriy Yermak paid special attention to the security situation in the east and along the borders of our country and potential threats in the context of the Russian-Belarusian exercises " Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland expressed US continued support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of ongoing Russian aggression.
