Metalist 1925 on its official website announced the signing of midfielder Fabio Alexandre Freitas de Almeida, or simply Fabinho.

In the summer transfer window, the 25-year-old Brazilian became the sixth newcomer of the Kharkiv club, who will spend the next season in the UPL.

The timing and financial terms of his contract are not specified. Fabinho will play for Metalist 1925 under number 70.

At the senior level, Fabinho played for Torreense (Portugal), Vasco da Gama (Brazil), Pinalnovense (Portugal) and Teresopolis (Brazil), and his last club was Ventspils from Latvia.

The Brazilian midfielder had experience of playing in Ukraine. In 2019, he played 2 matches in the First League for Metalist 1925, after which he joined the Donetsk Olympic, where he played 13 matches in the UPL.
