The debtor has the right to request supporting documents on the justification for the collection of the debt. Documents must be submitted within seven working days.

The debtor will certainly be informed that a collection company has been involved in collecting the debt or that his debt has been assigned to a new creditor.

Collection activity can only be carried out by companies included in the Register of Collection Companies.

The creditor is obliged to inform the National Bank of Ukraine about the conclusion of an agreement with the collection company. He must monitor the actions of the involved collection companies and give recommendations on how to eliminate violations..

The lender must unilaterally terminate the contract with the collection company if it is excluded from the Register of Collection Companies or if the collector violates the requirements for ethical behavior (if there are two or more such violations per year).
