In addition, the Commission heard representatives of the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, State Emergency Service and the regions on preparedness to respond to deteriorating weather.
Odessa, Nikolaev, Kirovograd, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkassk and Chernigov regional state administrations were entrusted with the following for the period of complication of weather conditions:.
put territorial subsystems on high alert;
organize round-the-clock work of headquarters and task forces to coordinate actions;
ensure interregional interaction and regulation of traffic flows;
inform the population through the media about the complication of weather conditions and the procedure for actions during bad weather;
ensure the stable operation of electricity, heat, and gas supply systems for settlements and potentially hazardous facilities and clearing roads.
In turn, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Ukravtodor, Ukrtransbezopasnost, the National Police and the State Emergency Service, together with the Regional State Administration:.
will provide preventive treatment of the road surface and snow removal on roads and in settlements;
organize information about the expected complication of the situation on the roads of carriers and drivers;
establish control over the organization of passenger traffic, in particular, in order to timely restrict traffic and prevent buses with people from leaving during a period of difficult weather;
prepare places for temporary parking areas for transit vehicles.
