A specially convened Independent Tribunal of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) has rejected the appeal of Ukrainian woman Dayana Yastremska to her temporary disqualification due to doping found in her body.

Thus, the second racket of Ukraine will not play at the Australian Open. Earlier, Dayana flew to Melbourne, counting on a positive result of her appeal.

Australian Open-2021 will take place on February 8 - 21. The tournament was postponed for three weeks due to the COVID-19 pandemic. From January 15, participants are serving a mandatory two-week quarantine in Melbourne.
