Dry cargo ship under the Russian flag with Ukrainians in the crew sank near the Turkish coast: there are dead

Dry cargo ship Arvin sank off the coast of Turkey, sailing under the Russian flag, with Ukrainians in the crew. At least four people died.

The incident happened on Sunday in the northern Turkish province of Bartin. The ship began to sink at about 12:20. According to local authorities, the cause of the crash was bad weather conditions in the Black Sea.

At least four people died, six have already been rescued. Rescue work continues with the participation of frigates of the Turkish Navy.

The crew of the dry cargo ship included two citizens of Russia and 10 Ukrainians. Names of Ukrainian crew members: Rustam Kazimov, Vitaly Kachur, Gennady Kravchenko, Anatoly Savostin, Sergey Sibilev, Alexander Perkatyi, Vitaly Merezhko, Vladislav Zaterka, Vladislav Ostapenko, Andrey Melnichenko. Which of them died and survived is still unknown.

Rosmorrechflot said the ship belongs to a Ukrainian company.
