On Sunday, December 6, the men's relay at the second stage of the Biathlon World Cup in Kontiolahti (Finland). The coaching staff of the Ukrainian national team chose a rather unexpected line-up for the race.

Artem Prima, Dmitry Pidruchny, Ruslan Tkalenko and Bogdan Tsymbal will run for the Ukrainian team at four stages.

Men's relay will start at 13:45 Kiev time. Women will run the pursuit race on December 6 (16:15).

On December 5, in Kontiolahti, the men's pursuit took place, where Artem Prima (26th place) became the best of the Ukrainians and the women's relay race, in which the Ukrainians finished fifth.

The second stage of the World Cup in Kontiolahti will last until December 6.

The third and fourth stages will take place in Hochfilzen, Austria, on December 11-13 and 17-20, respectively.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the organizers of the competition decided to hold several paired stages. In addition to Kontiolahti and Hochfilzen, Oberhof and Nove Mesto will host two stages each. Stages in Ostersund, Annecy, Ruhpolding and Beijing will not take place.
