The European Football Union (UEFA) has announced the name of the best player in the Europa League for the 2019/20 season. It was Inter striker Romelu Lukaku.

In a dispute for the award, which was awarded for the fourth time, the 27-year-old striker bypassed Ever Banega and Bruna Fernandes. Lukaku starts playing in the Europa League in the playoffs. He has six appearances, seven goals and two assists. Romelu scored two of five goals against Shakhtar Donetsk in the semi-final of the tournament.

Interestingly, the Champions League draw brought Inter and Shakhtar into one group in the 2020/21 season.

In the final of the Europa League 2020, Inter lost to Sevilla.

Lukaku finished 2019/20 season with Inter with 34 goals in all tournaments.

Coaches and journalists named the top three. For the first place five points were awarded, for the second - three, for the third - one. The winner is the one with the most points. Coaches could not vote for their team players.
