Bournemouth announced the resignation of Eddie Howe as head coach of the first team on its official website after the Cherries dropped in class and were relegated to the Championship.

The club's management and the 42-year-old specialist decided to end cooperation by mutual agreement.

Eddie Howe is a Bournemouth legend. He spent almost his entire football career in the Cherry system, and as a mentor, the Englishman led the team from 2008 to 2011 and from 2012 to 2020.
