On July 24, the Kommunarsky District Court of Zaporozhye chose a preventive measure with a minimum bail of 40 thousand hryvnias for a previously convicted man who is reasonably suspected of causing grievous bodily harm to a serviceman.

Recall that on July 21, at about 23:55, the Kommunarsky police department of the GUNP in the Zaporozhye region received a message from the 5th city hospital that a local resident born in 1991 with head injuries was brought to them from one of the city's shopping centers. Currently, the victim's state of health remains consistently difficult, he is in a coma.
After committing a crime, the offender disappeared from the scene. Police officers identified his identity and whereabouts. It turned out to be a previously convicted resident of Zaporozhye born in 1991. Law enforcers detained him in accordance with Art.. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine for further investigative actions.
The attacker was announced on suspicion of committing a criminal offense under h. 1 st. 121 (Intentional grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The prosecutor's office supported the petition to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention.
The investigators have fulfilled all obligations regarding the possibility of choosing a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention. A sufficient evidence base has been collected, including a video recording of the suspect's illegal actions. But the court decided to release the suspect on bail with a minimum amount of 40 thousand hryvnia.
