The All-Ukrainian Golf Federation held the Open Team Championship of Ukraine. This is an annual competition among golfers, which unite in groups of 2 to 4 people and jointly fight for the right to take the championship.

This year the competition was held from July 3 to 5 at the Kozin Golf Club. 96 players took part in the Championship, which was a record for the number of athletes for Ukraine.

Among the women's teams, Superior Ladies took the lead (Elvira Rastvortseva, Maria Fedorovich, Daria Gorokhovskaya). Among men, the winners were HClub Young Killers (Mikhail Hunger, Oleg Hunger, Artem Sokolov).

“I hope that setting records will become our tradition in golf. Federation sports tournaments are becoming increasingly popular among golfers. We are constantly working to increase the number of golfers in Ukraine: we actively support juniors, created the Children and Youth Sports School of Golf. Understanding what an interesting outdoor sport it is, we want at least a thousand golfers to join the game by the end of the year, and up to 10 thousand people should play golf in 3-5 years, ”said the President of the All-Ukrainian Golf Federation Vitaliy Khomutynnik, welcoming the winners.

The quarantine has made its adjustments to the world sports industry. Due to COVID-19, sports activities, especially since the competition has been restricted. But golf is one of those sports where the game takes place outdoors and the distance between the athletes is maintained..

This year, the All-Ukrainian Golf Federation introduced a number of rules and made obvious shifts in various areas of golf: amateur, professional, women's, children's, junior and golf for people with disabilities. The number of golfers over the past year has doubled.
