President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky handed over the Golden Star Order to the relatives of the fallen Heroes of Ukraine - teacher of higher mathematics and information disciplines at the Odessa College of Economics, Law and Hotel and Restaurant Business Anna Bortyuk and the commander of the department of the state fire and rescue squad of the Main Directorate of the National Traffic Police.

The award of Anna Bortyuk was received by her husband Nikolai, and the award of Sergei Shatokhin was the wife of Hero Lyudmila, the Office of the Head of State notes.

January 25, 2020 The Head of State signed a decree on conferring the title of Hero of Ukraine with the award of the Golden Star Order to Anna Bortyuk and Sergey Shatokhin (posthumous). They were awarded a high award for heroism and sacrifice shown during the rescue of people during a fire in the Odessa College of Economics, Law and Hotel and Restaurant Business, which took place on December 4, 2019.

The President also presented state awards on the occasion of the Day of the Naval Forces of Ukraine.
