The Czech government has approved a MEDEVAC assistance program for a number of countries that need support, including Ukraine.

Priorities of the MEDEVAC program - sending doctors abroad and at the same time developing local medical infrastructure. This method of support is the best, especially in cases where it is impossible to send a Czech medical team, for example, for security reasons in the country of destination, noted in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Czech Republic.
In addition to the indicated 15 million kroons, the government approved the proposal of the Ministry of the Interior to also provide donations totaling 72 million kroons through a local assistance program for the Balkans and MENA (Middle East and North Africa). In particular, CZK 27 million is intended to support the migration system in Greece, 20 million to support access to asylum procedures and integration measures during the pandemic in Serbia. The Czech Republic will support 15 million kroons of a joint project with Denmark to support asylum potential and expand cooperation on the migration route of the central and western Mediterranean, and another 10 million kroons to support Syrian refugees in Lebanon who have suffered from the coronavirus crisis.
