Art online: one of the main theater festivals in Europe POSTWEST because of the coronavirus pandemic this year became virtual.

The event could not have happened at all, but participants from Ukraine proposed and persuaded the organizers to conduct it remotely. Two projects of the Ukrainian director Vlad Troitsky will take part in the festival at once, the TSN story says. 19:30.

Five actors of the DAH Center for Contemporary Art play their role in five different cities of Ukraine at the same time. Viewers watch the show on Zoom and on YouTube. This action was converted from offline format to online for two months, director Troitsky admits. The most difficult thing, he said, was for the actors: they had to not only transform and adapt their acting to the “Zoom-conference” format, but also to master the skills of the cameraman, light, stage designer and director.

Troitsky says he has discovered a new form of art " Its uniqueness lies in the fact that the line between the audience and the actors disappears, and the contemplator himself becomes a participant in the show.

POSTWEST is a multicultural festival of modern theatrical art, which annually organizes one of the best European theaters - Berlin's Volkswagen.

This year, 12 European countries participate in it.. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the organizers wanted to cancel the event, but the Ukrainians suggested holding it online. Helped technically and even became headlining.

The new format of the festival inspired director Vlad Troitsky to create a special online art platform for future creative incarnations in order to promote Ukrainian art around the world.
