Tottenham decided to refuse the transfer of Barcelona midfielder Filippe Coutinho, reports the publication Mundo Deportivo.
The London club will not negotiate with the Catalans and will not try to sign a midfielder neither on loan, nor on an ongoing basis. Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho believes the Brazilian’s value is overpriced and will focus on other transfer goals.
English Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle are interested in signing a 27-year-old player.
This season, Coutinho has played 32 matches in a Bayern T-shirt, scoring nine goals and eight assists.
Earlier it was reported that Tottenham shows interest in defender Atletico Stefan Savic.
