Despite the fact that the number of new cases of COVID-19 in Europe has decreased by more than half compared to April, “the risk is still very high,” he added.

According to Kluge, 2.2 million people have been diagnosed with coronavirus disease since the outbreak in Europe, of which 181,000 patients have died. At the end of 2019, an outbreak of COVID-19 disease began in Wuhan (China): it is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
