In Europe, sales of the Toyota ProAce Electric electric van began, which is a converted version of the Citroen e-Jumpy / Opel Vivaro-e / Peugeot e-Expert, but the Japanese model differs from the French and German record-breaking battery warranty conditions.

According to Toyota, subject to servicing an electric vehicle by an authorized dealer, the guarantee of maintaining 75% of the original battery capacity is 15 years of operation or 1,000,000 kilometers. Due to what such indicators are achieved, the company does not report. At the same time, the guarantee for the same batteries in Citroen, Opel and Peugeot is only 8 years and 160,000 kilometers.

Toyota ProAce Electric is equipped with a 136-horsepower electric motor and two battery options - 50 kW · h with a power reserve of up to 230 km or 75 kW · h with an autonomy of 330 km. So far, the novelty is available only in the form of an all-metal van, but in 2021 a 9-seater passenger version should appear.

Earlier, Lexus announced for the Lexus UX 300e electric crossover also a record 10-year warranty for the brand on the battery (or mileage of 1,000,000 km) while maintaining at least 70% of the original capacity.
