After the PFL Council decided on May 21 to end the championships of the First and Second Leagues without playing out the remaining matches, however, this decision caused widespread public outcry and protests from some clubs, the PFL official website reports..
Given the situation, the PFL Directorate sent a letter to the clubs of the First League with options for ending the season and a request to comment on this. As a result, it turned out that eight (half) First League teams (for example, Metalist 1925 and Minai) were in favor of playing the remaining matches according to the approved rules for the season, and some refused to take part in the poll (including League leader Rukh).
In this regard, on June 5, the PFL Council will hold another meeting, at which the fate of the 2019/20 season in the First League should be finally decided.
