As the head of the profile committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Andrei Gerus, clarified, the law is a condition of Euratom in the agreement to provide the Energoatom with the next tranche (200 million euros) of a loan aimed at improving the nuclear safety of Ukrainian nuclear power plants. The project is co-financed by the EBRD (300 million euros) and Euratom (300 million euros).
