After the meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee on Thursday, April 23, an urgent recommendation will be sent to all national associations to end the championships and cup tournaments by July 31, Football Italia reports.

This is necessary so that August is fully devoted to the replay of the incomplete matches of the Champions League and the Europa League, planned by UEFA for the last month of summer.

If it is impossible to finish the season, as it seems to happen in Belgium and the Netherlands, UEFA requires national associations to provide a list of teams that will represent countries in European competitions.

It was previously reported that UEFA may refuse to use the VAR system in the remaining matches of the Champions League and the Europa League.
