At a meeting of the Premier League leadership and representatives of the English Premier League clubs, participants agreed that the season should be played out, but only if this does not contradict the recommendations of the government and health authorities.

The official press release of the Premier League says that the clubs took the approximate term for the resumption of the championship in May, but at the same time they will monitor the development of the situation in the country.

In addition, it was decided to allocate 20 million pounds to the National Health Service of Great Britain and 125 million clubs of the English Football League and other lower divisions of England to mitigate the effects of a stop of the season.

The clubs also intend to negotiate with the players to reduce their salaries by 30%.
