On Tuesday, March 17, UEFA made important decisions regarding the postponement of football matches due to the threat of coronavirus, the official website of the UAF.

Thus, the union approved the following decisions:.
- Euro 2020 playoff matches scheduled for March will be rescheduled for June this year (dates may change) - qualifying matches for the 2022 World Cup scheduled for June 2021 will be rescheduled;
- the final of the four League of Nations-2020/2021, Euro-2021 (U-21) and the women's Euro-2021, which were to be held in June and July 2021, will be played on other dates;
- clubs will be required to release their players for all matches of teams that will be held on new dates.
- if the situation permits, maximum efforts will be made to complete all games in national tournaments and European cups by June 30, 2020;
- National leagues will hold matches in the middle of the week, and European Cup matches will be held on weekends;
- the dates of the qualifying rounds of the European Cups in the 2020/2021 season will be determined depending on the completion of the 2019/20120 season.
It was previously reported that due to the coronavirus pandemic, FIFA postponed the start of the World Cup 2022 qualifying tournament in South America and allowed clubs to not let players into the national teams until COVID-19 retreated.
