The Danish Ministry of Transport has found that for drivers of electric scooters, the probability of damage in an accident is 7 times higher than for cyclists. Cyclists are much more likely to get into accidents, but get off with a slight fright, writes Europuls.

According to the department of traffic Vejdirektoratet, for every 10 thousand kilometers traveled, the probability of getting into a catastrophe and injuring in it is 1% for cyclists and 7% for those traveling by electric scooter.

The experts came to such conclusions as a result of a study begun in January last year, when in Denmark electric scooters were recognized as full-fledged road users along with cars.

Electric scooters are quickly gaining popularity in Europe, but in different cities and countries they treat this new transport differently.. For example, in Germany they are encouraged in every way, because they hope to cope with traffic jams with their help.. In Paris, the authorities introduced a speed limit for electric scooters, and in Sweden, a general ban on this type of transport is being discussed.
