The midfielder spoke about the expectations from the match with the Azov club.

Dnipro-1 midfielder Yuri Vakulko shared his opinion on the upcoming match with Mariupol and commented on the previous meeting with the Azov team.

“The mood is good, as we scored seven points in four games after the restoration of the season, despite the fact that we had serious rivals. Of course, it’s a shame that we were not able to cling to the first six, to which we literally did not have one or two points. We could have gained them in matches where we were not supposed to lose points.

Of course, we expect that Mariupol will come very charged to win, although if you watched the last match, it seems to me that all deletions from the Mariupol team were fair. Indeed, it affected the game, but blaming the referees for these episodes would be unfair. The Mariupol team then entered the field aggressive, and now in general they will have double motivation. They say they’ll be evil in sports.

Don't like var? I said that I do not like the fact that the referee watched the episode for a long time - it concerned the game with Dynamo. In the match with Mariupol, everything happened pretty quickly - the judge made a decision in literally 30-40 seconds. The main thing is that the referee makes the right decisions. As always, there are pluses, minuses, someone for, someone against. Today it helped us, but when it is the other way around, and VAR will play against us, we won’t like it, "

Match Dnepr-1 - Mariupol in the 23rd round of the UPL will be held in the Dnieper on Saturday, March 14.
