Clubs from next season will be able to issue no more than eight leases, if the corresponding proposal of FIFA is accepted, reports. This will initially apply only to international rentals of players over the age of 22 years.. At the same time, 8 is the maximum allowable amount of incoming and outgoing leases.

Starting from the season 2022/23, the number of allowable rents will be reduced to six.

So far, these are only plans that should be approved at a meeting of the FIFA Council.

National championships will receive three years for the implementation of such rules for domestic rentals.

One of the main landlords in the football world - Chelsea - has leased 28 players this season, 15 of which are 22 or more years.
