According to information published by BusinessWire, some smartphones from Apple and Samsung do not meet the established standards for radio frequency radiation. This conclusion was made by specialists from a laboratory accredited by the US Federal Communications Commission. Based on the results of the study, FeganScott Law Firm prepared a lawsuit against manufacturers because of “threats to consumer health”.

According to representatives of FeganScott, three Apple smartphones (iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone XR) and three Samsung gadget models (Galaxy S8, Galaxy S9, Galaxy S10) were studied. The aim of the study was to evaluate the intensity of high-frequency radiation generated at the moment when the phone is in close proximity to the body or touches it. In the two-millimeter wavelength range, the radiation of the iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 exceeded the maximum allowed limit by half, and in the sub-millimeter range, the intensities of these models were exceeded by five and three times, respectively.

“Manufacturers claim their smartphones are safe. But it’s not so, says Bette Fegan, senior manager of FeganScott.. - Independent measurements confirm that radiation levels far exceed the federal exposure limit. Consumers must know the truth. ”. The lawsuit, which was filed in court last Thursday, contains a requirement to pay medical examinations to owners of Apple and Samsung phones and to compensate for the damage.
