The government launched a pilot project to create a digital ID of citizens of Ukraine - verification of users of electronic registers, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.

To this end, over the next six months, the state of technical safety and protection of existing registries will be checked, as well as the completeness and reliability of user data in existing registries, in particular by comparing data from different registries with each other.

A citizen’s digital ID will also allow you to identify and eliminate duplication of data about one person or cloning a unique record.

“These verified data will be used to ensure the All-Ukrainian population census. Plus, this will simplify further all the procedures for appointing and paying social benefits, ”said Prime Minister Alexei Goncharuk.
