The Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan held an extended meeting with heads of enterprises, institutions and organizations that are in the field of management of the Ministry of Infrastructure.

He noted that in connection with the introduction of martial law in 10 regions, Ukraine is introducing additional measures to ensure the protection and defense of infrastructure facilities..

"I give a separate order to strengthen the protection and defense of railway stations, railway stations, airports, ports and other infrastructure facilities. We also introduce a special mode of operation of railway transport.. It provides for ensuring the carrying capacity of the railway network and the corresponding rolling stock for the needs of defense in the main areas determined by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.. Also, the priority in the appointment of trains will be determined by the need to carry out transportation in the conditions of the military period, according to the decisions of the military command, ”Omelyan said.

The Minister of Infrastructure instructed the State Secretary of the Ministry, Andrei Galuschak, to create an Operational Headquarters for interaction with the military command and military administrations to ensure compliance with the legal regime of martial law.

Coordination within the Ministry of Infrastructure and with enterprises, institutions and organizations located in the field of management of the Ministry of Infrastructure is entrusted to the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Yuriy Lavrenyuk.

"We work in a regular mode. There is no panic. All actions are weighted and coordinated.. The readiness to protect the infrastructure and defense of the state is high. In this situation, there is nothing new for us - every second generation of Ukrainians protect their land from their northern neighbors.. Therefore, we are quietly working, but being in the highest degree of readiness, - said Vladimir Omelyan, “We are planning, according to the Swiss model, to introduce the active participation of employees of the transport sector in territorial defense. Everyone at the ready must have an “anxious backpack” with a three-day supply of everything needed and a clear understanding of its actions in the event of an enemy attack. ”.

With the aim of coordinating and practicing coordination, the leadership of the Ministry of Infrastructure, with the participation of representatives of central government bodies, managers and employees of enterprises, institutions and organizations in the field of management of the Ministry of Infrastructure, plans to conduct field military exercises in the near future and to extend this practice to all employees.
