The European Football Union (UEFA) at the request of TSN Prosport commented on the possible imposition of martial law in Ukraine and how this will affect the Champions League and European League matches.
"As in all matches of the UEFA competition, all necessary safety measures will be taken by the host club and local authorities to ensure the safety and confidence of the fans.
We have no additional comments, "- said in a UEFA report.
Earlier it was reported that the match of the Europa League "Vorskla" - "Arsenal" will be held as planned.
We add that the home matches of European competitions have yet to be held by Shakhtar (December 12) and Dynamo (December 13).
Recall, on November 26, President Poroshenko imposed martial law in Ukraine for 60 days, but later announced that it would be introduced from November 28 for 30 days.
The reason was that on November 25, near the Kerch Strait, Russian security forces brazenly went to the ram, fired upon and seized three Ukrainian vessels: Yana Kapu, Nikopol and Berdyansk, capturing Ukrainian sailors, among whom there are two seriously wounded.
For this decision to take effect, it must be supported by the Verkhovna Rada. The introduction of martial law is not a declaration of war, does not imply the mobilization or restriction of constitutional rights and freedoms.
