More than 17 thousand people were evacuated after raising the water level in the dam lake in the Chinese province of Sichuan, reports Xinhua.
The agency previously reported that a dam lake formed in the upper Yangtze River on November 3.
As a result of the increase in water in the dam lake, residential houses, arable land and pastures in the Garchze district of Sichuan were damaged to varying degrees, and 17.3 thousand people were evacuated.
Earlier in October, another landslide collapsed on the border of Tibet and Sichuan, as a result of which the dam lake was also blocked, and some settlements were isolated from the outside world.
