The man who shot down two pedestrians on an unregulated crossing on November 5 is a 43-year-old resident of Dergachi, the press service of the Kharkiv region prosecutor’s office reported. He was announced on suspicion of h. 3 st. 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the rules of traffic safety or the operation of transport by persons driving vehicles, which killed several people). The maximum penalty for this article is 10 years in prison with a deprivation of the right to drive for up to three years.

The driver is detained, he must choose a measure of restraint. The prosecutor's office will insist on detention.

The accident occurred on the highway in the village Solonitsevka Dergachevsky area. Pedestrians died on the spot.

The driver was not injured. According to law enforcement, he was sober.
