The Russians do not know the constitution, but they want to change it

The majority of Russians (66%) are in favor of changing the country's constitution, while half admit that they do not know the current situation, a poll conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation showed.

FOM sociologists recorded the highest in 15 years support for changes to the Russian constitution. Back in 2013, 46% supported the amendment of the basic law, now the idea of ??revising the constitution is like 66%. Only 20% of respondents are sure that it is not necessary to amend the basic law.

However, most like the current constitution, 53% of respondents call it good. Respondents aged 18 to 30 years and people with higher education more often than others praise her. Only 21% said that the basic law is bad, and 26% found it difficult to formulate their attitude towards it.
